About the event
Guidelines and examples will be given for conveying interpreted messages more effectively with visual imagery. Participants will analyze and demonstrate how to sign actions, ideas, and situations with ASL classifiers to communicate clearly with depictive signing. Participants can apply these visualization skills to many topics, bringing scientific discussions to life in ASL.
Educational Objectives:
To accomplish this, participants will learn how to:
· Analyze English text and provide the equivalent with ASL classifiers
· Effectively use hand motions, body movements, and facial movements related to classifier use when signing, storytelling and interpreting
· Demonstrate expanded skills in new contexts
