Have you ever wondered what the difference is between interpreting and performing a song? Have you ever wondered why you enjoy watching specific people interpret music? Have you ever wondered how on earth you are going to interpret the concert without a setlist? This workshop will answer these questions, as we explore the differences between interpreting and performing music in ASL. This workshop is for all – from people considering interpreting music, to experienced music interpreters. Participants will discover the unique challenges involved in interpreting music. You will learn and prepare different ways to meet these challenges, including what ASL features and poetic techniques to employ.
